Shane Dierking | Defensive Coordinator | North Central College
Shane Dierking, a North Central College alumnus, rejoined the Cardinals' coaching staff in 2018 as the defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach and was promoted to assistant head coach in 2022. In the 2022 season, he led the Cardinals to top rankings in NCAA Division III for scoring defense (6.7 points allowed per game) and led the CCIW in several defensive categories, setting new school records in scoring, rushing, and passing defense. Before returning to North Central, Dierking coached at Benedictine University from 2016-2017, starting as the defensive backs coach and later becoming the defensive coordinator. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at North Central from 2014-2016.
