Tight Ends Coach / Former Offensive Analyst — New Mexico State University Football

Coach Taylor Mazzone is an emerging college football coach currently serving as the Tight Ends Coach for the New Mexico State Aggies football program, where he was promoted from his role as an offensive analyst heading into the 2026 season.

A respected offensive mind with experience at multiple collegiate programs, Mazzone joined the New Mexico State coaching staff in 2024 under Head Coach Tony Sanchez and quickly became a key part of the offensive leadership group. During the 2024 and 2025 seasons he worked as an offensive analyst and even served as interim quarterbacks coach in 2024, helping develop Aggie signal callers including Parker Awad, Santino Marucci, and Brandon Nuñez.

Before his time at New Mexico State, Mazzone built a diverse resume in college football coaching. He served as Offensive Coordinator at Idaho State University and held offensive roles at the University of San Diego, University of Arizona, Texas A&M, UCLA, and Arizona State. In 2019, he was selected to the American Football Coaches Association’s 35 Under 35 program, which recognizes and cultivates rising coaching talent.

Mazzone is known for his offensive expertise, quarterback development, and ability to adapt schemes to personnel strengths — skills that have helped him take the next step into a full on-field coaching position at the collegiate level.
