THE EAST COAST 3-4 OVERVIEW AND FORMATION ADJUSTMENTS

Description

The East Coast 3-4 has recently been made popular by current Army Defensive Coordinator Nate Woody and his family of coaches.  The 3-4 system has allowed us to put more speed on the field by utilizing more linebacker type personnel with Defensive line movement/slant on each snap.  The Offenses have to account for all four linebackers that can potentially add into the rush each snap.  By utlizing great disguise pre snap this defense has been consistently successful through the years.  This is the first course in a series, that provides an overview of the basics of bench reduction and field reduction.  We will review bench reduction quarters coverage as well as it's formation adjustments and alignments.  We will also review field reduction Cover 3 and it's coaching points.  These two front movements have been the basic foundation of this defense for more than a decade.  This course provides the overview.  Following videos will cover run fits and defensive line play giving you a comprehensive look at the East Coast 3-4.
