The Coach
Coach Holt just finished his 19th year in education. This will be his 6th year as the Head Coach at Frisco Wakeland High School. Coach Holt has helped lead the Wolverines to four straight finals appearances, and winning the State Championship in 2017, 2018, and 2021. During his time at Frisco Wakeland he has compiled a record of 105-12-15.
Before serving as the head coach at Wakeland, Holt was the head coach at Sulphur Springs High School for 14 years. The Wildcats advanced to the Regional Finals in 2006 and to the Regional Quarterfinals in 2013. Coach Holt finished at Sulphur Springs as the winningest soccer coach in the history of the program with a record of 217-96-52.
Coach Holt has been named the District Coach of the Year 8 times, the TASCO coach of the Year 2 times, and the Dallas Morning News Coach of the Year once. He has compiled an overall record of 322 wins, 108 losses, and 67 ties during his 19-year career as a head soccer coach.
Coach Holt is a 2002 graduate of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, where he played for the Crusaders. He is also a 1998 graduate of Sulphur Springs High School in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He currently teaches Geometry at Frisco Wakeland High School. He lives in Frisco with his wife, Lindsey, and their son Reese(15).
