The Coach
SFLA Founder Max Jaben grew up in Overland Park, Kansas, where he spent his childhood swimming for the Kansas City Blazers, a USA Swimming Gold Medal Club. While swimming for the Blazers, Max competed in the 2000 & 2004 USA Olympic Team Trials (being the youngest male in 2000 to ever compete). Max ranked 2nd place at the USA National Championships, and continues to hold several team age group records. Max also swam for the University of Florida and finished his college degree at the University of Missouri, where he majored in Business, Sociology, and Hotel and Restaurant Management. He was recently seen on the Universal Sports TV Series “Against the Tide”, a documentary about Olympic swimmers.
