Everyone thinks being nervous as a pitcher means you’re not prepared, not confident, or not skilled enough to be on the mound, but they’re wrong. Yes, everyone who’s ever told you that you shouldn’t be nervous on the mound is wrong. You’re supposed to be nervous! If you’re nervous it just means you’re about to do something important, and those butterflies you feel are letting you know your body is ready to perform it’s best. In this lesson you’ll learn why you shouldn’t want to shut those nervous feelings down, and how to use them to bring the best out of yourself as a pitcher.
