Fernando Lemus - Laredo Alexander HS
Fernando Lemus is the head baseball coach at Laredo Alexander High School with 19 years of coaching experience (16 years in baseball). He was named the head coach after the 2015 State Semi-Finalists season. During his head coaching tenure, his team has won 4 out of 7 district championships, 6 bi-district championships, 4 area championships, 3 regional quarter championships, and 1 regional semi-final championship. Fernando is an Algebra 2 teacher, and this is his 2nd year as the Defensive Coordinator for the school’s football team. He has been married to his beautiful wife Jessica for 18 years. They have 2 wonderful kids, Haley (17 years old) and Fernie (13 years old) who are involved in various sports and activities at Alexander High School and Clark Middle School, respectively. Coach Lemus is a native of Laredo and a graduate of Alexander High School. Fernando earned his Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction in Mathematics from The University of Texas in Arlington.
