Jeff Williams - Amarillo HS – GIRLS (COURT DEMO)

I have been in the coaching profession for 28 years and have been a Head Girls Basketball Coach for 25 of those years.  My stops in coaching have been at Dumas 9 years (7 years as the head coach) and Amarillo High for the past 19 years (18 years as the head coach).  We have compiled a record of 648-217 during those years. We have been to the Regional Tournament 8 times at Amarillo High.  We were able to advance to the State Tournament 3 of those times winning back-to-back State Titles in 2018 and 2019 and playing in the tournament in 2022 losing in the State Semi-final game. 

I have been extremely blessed to coach so many outstanding young ladies with coaching staffs that have made our programs excel to be their very best; therefore, I have graciously accepted many awards on behalf of our program.  I have been selected the Coach of the year 11 times, awarded the Dean Wease Award in 2017, named the TABC, TGCA, and Panhandle Coach of the year in 2018, and selected the Panhandle Sports Coach of the Year in 2018 as well.  Coaching at a program in which there is an expectation to succeed with athletes that are willing to trust the process has allowed me to lead a program in which has had a lot of success.  I am very lucky to be in the position I am in and forever grateful for the opportunity to have been blessed to Coach at both Dumas and Amarillo High.
