Michael Thomas - Denton HS – BOYS (COURT DEMO)

Coach Thomas played professionally in England for the Mildenhall Marauders and was a student-assistant for Arkansas-Monticello.  Coach Thomas has been teaching and coaching for 10 years (8 years as a varsity head basketball coach).  Thomas is currently in his first year at Denton High School, where he helped the Broncos improve from 3 wins to 19 and a No. 15 ranking. Thomas led 3 different programs Cushing, Laneville, and Calvert to playoff appearances, and one to a state Final Four.   Thomas served as Athletic Director, head football, and head basketball coach in the same year at Calvert. That year Thomas led both teams to playoffs and state rankings. In football his Calvert Trojans were the Dave Campbell team of the week and ranked No. 5 in the state. That same year his basketball team was ranked No. 2 and won the regional championship. Thomas accomplished this without any assistant coaches.   5x district championships- 5x District Coach of the Yr.; Brazos Valley Coach of the Yr. (2019); Piney Woods All-star coach (2015) Texas Six-Man Coach of the Year (2022) (188-36).
