Stu Hartenstein-Denison University
Stu Hartenstein begins his sixth year as an assistant men's basketball coach in 2020-21.
Hartenstein serves as the Big Red's defensive coordinator in addition to helping with video editing and opponent scouting. Between 2015-2016 and 2016-2017, Denison underwent two of their most successful seasons in program history. In 2016, DU captured their first NCAC Tournament Championship and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the second time. In 2016017, the Big Red won 22 games and were nationally ranked for a majority of the season.
Prior to his arrival at Denison, he had coaching stints at West Jefferson, Olentangy Orange, and Northmont High Schools.
Hartenstein graduated from Wittenberg University in 2009 with a degree in history. He currently resides in Columbus with his wife, Megan.
