The Coach
Dan Hurley
The Head Coach of the UConn men’s basketball team. He began his coaching career in 1996 at St. Anthony High School, where he laid the foundation for his future success. In 1997, Hurley joined Rutgers University as an assistant coach, marking the start of his collegiate coaching journey.
Hurley went on to become the head coach at St. Benedict’s Preparatory School, where he gained further recognition, before moving on to head coaching positions at Wagner College and the University of Rhode Island. His success at Rhode Island helped pave the way for his appointment as the head coach of UConn in 2018, where he has continued to build on his impressive coaching legacy.
