Creating Confidence on the Court with Jhasmin Player

Description

Creating Confidence on the Court is an in-depth course led by Division I Head Coach Jhasmin Player, focused on equipping coaches with the tools to intentionally build confidence in their athletes.  The course blends theory with actionable coaching methods, showing how confidence emerges when players understand their assignments, trust their preparation, and see measurable growth. Drawing from years of experience at the highest levels of women’s basketball, Coach Player demonstrates how to create practice environments that are both competitive and supportive, where athletes are rewarded for doing the “little things” that win games.

Through film study, statistical tracking, and positive reinforcement, she illustrates how to connect performance feedback directly to athlete development. Coaches will leave with a proven system for balancing accountability with encouragement, ensuring players develop confidence that is resilient, sustainable, and transferable both on and off the court.

What You’ll Learn

  • Confidence as a Skill: Redefine confidence as something that can be taught, measured, and reinforced.

  • Film & Feedback: Use video analysis to reinforce trust in assignments and help athletes visualize growth.

  • Communication & Leadership: Develop athletes into vocal leaders and “anchors” on the court, while strengthening overall team chemistry.

  • Positive Reinforcement: Apply language that celebrates effort, consistency, and role execution, ensuring players feel valued.
