Don Showalter will serve as head coach of the USA Basketball Men's Junior National Team for the 11th time this October in the program's minicamp. His extensive list of accolades includes:

- 10x Iowa Basketball Coaches Association Coach of the Year 
- National Association of Basketball Coaches Advocacy Award (2004)
- National Coach of the Year (by the National High School Athletic Coaches Association) 2009
- 10x USA Basketball Developmental Coach of the Year (2009-2018)
- 5x Gold at U16 FIBA Americas
- 5x Gold at U17 World Championships
- U.S. Olympic Committee 2012 Volunteer Coach of the Year
