Eric Weaver has just completed his 22nd year in education and is currently the Choir Director and Head Girls Basketball Coach at Chapin HS in El Paso. Coach Weaver just finished his 7th season serving as a Head Girls basketball coach and 4th season at Chapin HS where he has amassed an 89-34 record with 3 district and bi-district championships for the Lady Huskies. He was also named the El Paso Times Coach of the Year in 2022. From a final four appearance as an assistant boys’ basketball coach in 2015 under Jim Forbes at Andress HS to volunteer middle school football, developmental high school softball, high school golf & track, freshman football, cross country, and all things in-between, this former opera singer turned educator is the proud husband of Lizeth Hernandez-Weaver and father to seven wonderful children.
