Coach Bellmyer has over 35 years of coaching experience. He was an assistant within the Hall of Fame coach Jerry Leggett's program in Moline, Illinois. When coach Leggett was at Quincy High School in Quincy, Illinois He was regarded as one of the greatest basketball coaches in Illinois. HIs 1981 Quincy team won the Illinois State Championship and was voted as the # 1 high school team in America. Coach Leggett was famous for having an incredible program buillt with structure and organization. He was known throughout the midwest with his "34" (3 quarter court 1-2-2 press). A interesting fact was that when coach Leggett left Quincy to become the new head coach in his boyhood home of Moline, Illinois, Steve Fisher (Michigan Fab Five Fame) finished 3rd. 

Coach Bellmyer is currently the Head coach for the Buffalo Bison boys basketball team in Buffalo, Wyoming. In the 2023-2024 basketball season, the Bison finished 4th in the Wyoming 3A State Championship. The Bison lost to the eventual state champions in the semi-finals. This was Coach Bellmyer's first year with the Bison. 

Before coaching in Buffalo, Coach Bellmyer took Burlington, Wyoming to a State Championship title in his first year with the Burlington Huskies. 

Coach Bellmyer has coached at the following basketball camps as a paid coach in the summers. Bob Knight's Basketball Camp 1988-1994; Roy Williams Kansas Basketball Camp from 1998-2004, Rich Majerus Utah Basketball Camp 1998-2002; Tubby Smith Kentuck Basketball Camp, Steve Afford Iowa Basketball Camp, Bill Self Basketball Camp at Illinois and Kansas, and Jon Scheyer Duke Basketball Camp.

From being an assistant under one of the nations most recognized basketball coaches (the late Jerry Leggett) and exposure to many of the greatest basketball programs/coaches in America, coach Bellmyer will provide valuable lessions to anyone wanting to create a great basketball practice atmosphere.
