The Coach

As of February 2025, Kameron Woods continues to serve as the head coach of the Oklahoma City Blue, the NBA G League affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder. He was appointed as the Blue's head coach on September 23, 2022, becoming the eighth head coach in the team's history.

Coaching Career:

  • Assistant Coach for Oklahoma City Blue (2018–2020): After concluding his playing career, Woods transitioned into coaching, joining the Blue's staff as an assistant coach under head coach Mark Daigneault.

  • Player Development Coach for Oklahoma City Thunder (2020–2022): Woods was promoted to the Thunder's coaching staff, focusing on player development.

  • Head Coach for Oklahoma City Blue (2022–Present): In his inaugural season (2022–2023), Woods led the Blue to a 13–19 record. The following season (2023–2024), he guided the team to a 21–13 record and their first G League Championship since relocating to Oklahoma City.

     

Playing Career:

  • Butler University (2011–2015): Woods played collegiate basketball at Butler, finishing his career as the second-leading rebounder in the school's history with 956 rebounds

     

  • Oklahoma City Blue (2015–2017): He played professionally for the Blue, appearing in 99 games over two seasons.

     

Personal Life:

Kameron and his wife, Shakira, reside in Oklahoma City with their three children.
