Offensive Spacingby New Jersey Basketball Coaches Association (NJBCA)
Spacing is the key to running an organized and effective offensive set, but can be difficult to teach. In this course, Coach Baker Dunleavy dives into the basics of offensive spacing in this clinic presentation from the 2020 NJBCA Virtual Clinic. Coach Dunleavy discusses the basic principles of spacing, how to react on dribble penetration, as well as the spacing principles of ball screens. Check out the first lesson free to start learning proper techniques for offensive spacing.
Baker Dunleavy is currently the head coach at Quinnipiac University.
Upon graduation from Villanova in 2006, Dunleavy entered the private sector, going to work for Merrill Lynch before accepting a job under Jay Wright in 2010 as the director of basketball operations. Dunleavy climbed the ranks to an assistant coach in 2012, and associate head coach in 2013. In his tenue as an assistant at Villanova, Dunleavy helped the Wildcats to four-straight Big East Conference regular season championships, along with the 2016 national championship team.
On March 28, 2017, Dunleavy was named the seventh coach in Quinnipiac history.
