Bryan Bartley is Friendship Collegiate Academy's Athletic Director and Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach. The New York native is a long-time member of the NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches), was an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Auburn University for four years, and has coached at numerous NBA Skills Academies including the Nike Point Guard & Big Man Skills Academy in New Jersey, Kevin Durant Skills Academy in Washington, DC and the Lebron James Skills Academy held in Las Vegas, NV.

In the 2018-19 season, his team finished 17-10 and was the runner-up in the DC School Athletic Association and won the Public Charter School Boy's Basketball Championship. Before coming to Friendship, Bartley was the Head Coach at Montrose Christian School in Rockville, MD from 2013-15 where he won the National Christian School Athletic Association in 2014. Bartley coached Maryland Gatorade Player of the year and PAC 12 All-Freshmen team Alonzo Trier (Arizona); 2nd Team All-Mountain West and All-Defensive team of the Mountain West Pat McCaw (UNLV); CAA Freshman of the year, Jarrell Brantley (College of Charleston); Raymond Doby (University of South Carolina); Justice Bartley (University of Virginia); Isaac Taylor (University of Maryland Eastern Shore); Jermaine Ukaegbu (Sacred Heart University; TJ Oliver (Tulane University); AJ Wilson (George Mason) and Alani Moore (Temple). Bartley also coached Randolph Morris (university of Kentucky); Jodie Meeks (University of Kentucky/ Detriot Pistons and Kentavious Caldwell (University of Georgia/ Detroit Pistons). Coach Bartley was very instrumental in organizing and directing the 1st Annual Underclassman All-American game held in Indianapolis, IN, 2016. Three (3) summer's ago Bartley worked the NIKE Point Guard & Big Man Skills Academy in New Jersey, Kevin Durant Skills Academy in Washington, DC and the Lebron James Skills Academy, held in Las Vegas, NV. The New York native is a 14 year member of the NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches); he also served four years as an Assistant Men's Basketball coach at Auburn University. The former Auburn Assistant Men's Basketball coach was instrumental in Auburn's fall 2007 recruiting class being ranked 21st nationally by Van Coleman of CSTV.com. He played a key role in Auburn's 2008-09 team that finished with the second most wins in school history by going 24-12 overall and finished second overall in the SEC with a 10-6 record. The Tigers came within an eyelash of reaching the NIT Final Four. He was the head coach for Landmark Christian School in Fairburn, GA., for four years from 2001-05 and made a school-best Class A Elite Eight state tournament appearance in 2004 and reached the Sweet Sixteen in 2001. Bartley coached McDonald's All-American and Atlanta Hawk, Randolph Morris, at Landmark Christian. LCS defeated Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy, which featured Dwight Howard, now of the Houston Rockets, in a nationally-televised game on ESPN2. In 2005, he was a counselor with the Jordan Flight School in Santa Barbara, Calif., a coach at the Nike All-American Camp in Indianapolis, Ind., Director of the Nike County Challenge and Director of the Atlanta Pro City High School league. Bartley was the commissioner of the ABCD Camp in Teaneck, N.J., in 2004 as well as an assistant coach in the EA Sports Roundball Classic and an AAU coach for the 15 & under Georgia Stars. The New York, N.Y., native was the Director of the Atlanta Pro City Summer League in Atlanta from 2000-06. Bartley was a campus security at Clarkston (GA.) High School from 1996-2001, was an Assistant Boys Varsity basketball coach at Lakeside High in Stone Mountain, Ga., from 1996-97 and worked in marketing and sales for Atlanta Glory the same year in 1996-97. He worked in the front office of the NBA's Atlanta Hawks from 1991-95. Bartley was the AAU coach for the 17 & under Atlanta Celtics from 1995-2001, was the Director of the ABCD Jr. Camp in Suwanee, Ga., and coached in the ABCD Camp in Hackensack, N.J., from 1998-2000. He was the Director of the *Around the Peach* Exposure Clinic from 1997-2000, directed the Kenny Smith Pro-Am Summer League and was CEO of the Kenny Anderson Foundation in 2001. Bryan Bartley was one of the top 150 players to get invited to Nike's first All-American camp in 1983 called A.F.B.E. (Athletes For Better Education) held at Princeton University. After a three-year collegiate basketball career and then graduating from Upsala College in East Orange, N.J., in 1989 with a B.A. in Communications, Bartley played professionally in Portugal in the 1989-90 seasons. Some of his teammates at New York's Archbishop Stepinac High School under coach Gene Doris (Fairfield University Athletics Director) included Fred Quartlebaum (University of Kansas) Marty Conlon (former player of the Boston Celtic), Tom Parrotta (Fairfield Assistant Men's Basketball coach) and Tim O'Toole (former Fairfield head coach/ current Stanford Assistant Men's Basketball coach). Bryan Bartley played for the prestigious Riverside Church in Manhattan, New York for Ernie Lorch.
