Head Girls’ Basketball Coach, Rochelle Vaughn Rochelle Vaughn was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas before moving to Plano, Texas. She graduated high school from Plano West Senior High, where she was a three year letter winner and team captain. Vaughn went on to letter all four years in college, serving as team captain in her last three years, at the University of Arkansas. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Communication and a minor in Spanish. Upon completion of her undergraduate studies, Vaughn continued her education at Arkansas and received her Master’s in Education. After college, she played professionally in Germany before returning to her roots as a player and beginning her coaching career at Plano West. She coached at Plano West for four years before moving to McKinney Boyd as the Girls Head Coach for another four years. The next two years, Vaughn helped lead Frisco Liberty to Regional Final and Regional Semi- final appearances as the Associate Head Coach. In 2018, Coach Vaughn had the privilege to open Frisco Memorial High School and lead the Girls Basketball Program to postseason success all four years of the program’s existence. The Girls Basketball Program has reached the postseason all 4 years and finished 2021-2022 as the 5A Girls Basketball State Runner-Up.
