This course will teach the following:

  • Create an intimidating fit and swarm run defense
  • Learn the proper defensive fits versus the run for the defensive line, linebackers, and secondary
  • Get exact drills used daily by Coach Sanders to progressively develop a defensive fit for all positions
  • See how to defend three different types of running plays: Inside run, C-gap run, and outside edge run

    Drew Sanders grew up in Mexia, Texas, played for the Blackcats and earned a District Championship his final year and Second Team All-District honors and Team Captain. Upon graduation, he earned a four-year academic scholarship and attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX where he played football and coached. During that time, he was part of four Conference Championship teams. He graduated with a Major in Kinesiology and Minor in English. He was also three time Academic All-Conference.
