With over two decades of collegiate coaching experience and specializing in special teams, Adam Scheier joined Temple Football in 2022 as the Special Teams Coordinator and Tight Ends Coach. During his tenure, he witnessed notable successes such as David Martin-Robinson's breakout season as a tight end and impressive performances from key players like punter Mackenzie Morgan and kicker Camden Price. Scheier's strategic decision contributed significantly to Temple's special team's achievements, including Mackenzie Morgan's recognition on the Ray Guy Award watch list and Camden Price's strong performance as the team's placekicker.

Before his time at Temple, Scheier served as Rutgers' special teams coordinator, where he helped the Scarlet Knights achieve high rankings in special teams efficiency. Under his guidance, Rutgers excelled in various aspects of special teams, including punt and kickoff coverage, punt returns, and field goal kicking. His coaching prowess was evident in players like punter Adam Korsak, who earned recognition as a finalist for the Ray Guy Award and garnered All-Big Ten honors. Scheier's extensive experience and success at Rutgers and other institutions underscore his expertise in special teams coaching and player development.

Before his roles at Temple and Rutgers, Scheier held coaching positions at Mississippi State, Texas Tech, and Ohio State, where he contributed to developing successful special teams units and earned nominations for coaching awards. His coaching journey began after a standout collegiate playing career at Dartmouth, where he earned the Special Teams Player of the Year before transitioning into coaching, showcasing a deep-rooted passion and expertise in football coaching and player development.
