Eric Russell - Texas A&M
Eric Russell, a coaching veteran, joined the Texas A&M Football staff in 2018 as the Special Teams Analyst. Russell has had an impressive coaching career over the past 29 years. He comes to Texas A&M after spending three years at TCU as the Director of Player Personnel – Special Teams. Prior to that, he spent time at Washington State as the assistant head coach and special team’s coordinator. He also spent two years at the University of Tennessee as the tight ends coach and special team’s coach. He has made several other coaching stops at Texas Tech, Louisiana Tech, North Texas, New Mexico and his alma mater, Idaho. Russell has a reputation as one of the top special teams’ coaches in the country and was a nominee for the 2009 Frank Broyles Awards honoring the nation’s top assistant coaches. The Idaho native is a great tradition to Jimbo Fisher’s staff at Texas A&M and he goes onto his sixth season with the Aggies this fall.
