The Coach
Aidan Campion enters his 18th year in coaching, 10th at the JC level and 3rd season on staff at Sierra College. In 2023, coach is adding defensive coordinator responsibilities to his duties coaching Linebackers. Coach Campion spent time previously as Defensive Coordinator at De Anza College. As a linebackers coach, Campion has mentored 3 All-Conference players in 2 seasons at Sierra: Mihalis Santorineos (Rancho Cotate HS, University of New Mexico), Tui Vaivai (San Juan HS, Western Illinois), and Roy Johnson (Del Campo HS, Texas A&M Kingsville). During previous coaching stops, he has coached over 20 scholarship players, with 8 of them matriculating to the Division 1 level. Prior to arriving at Sierra, Campion spent time coaching at City College of San Francisco, De Anza College, and Cabrillo College. Those years were highlighted by coaching the 12-1 National Championship team in 2015 at CCSF, and a 10-1 American Division championship team in 2018 at De Anza. Originally from Sunnyvale, CA, Coach Campion graduated from San Jose State University in 2010. He would later go on to add an M.S. from Concordia University and an M.Ed from National University in 2015. In addition to his coaching duties, Campion is a teacher at Horizon Charter School. Coach Campion resides in Carmichael with his wife Natasha, daughter Mercy, and son Justice.
