Allen Tucker is currently the Special Teams Coordinator for the University of Akron, working under head coach Joe Moorhead since 2023. Before joining Akron, Tucker was a special teams quality control assistant at Mississippi State from 2018 to 2022. During his time at Mississippi State, Tucker played a pivotal role in improving various special teams metrics, including net punt, punt average, kick and punt return average, and overall special teams efficiency. He also coached several standout players, such as kicker Jace Christmann and punter Tucker Day, who received recognition on prestigious watch lists and rankings.

Tucker's coaching career began as a defensive intern at Valdosta State in 2016, where he contributed to the team's success in interceptions and helped players like Donatello Brown and Kenny Moore achieve All-Conference honors. Throughout his coaching journey, Tucker has mentored multiple players who went on to play in the NFL, showcasing his ability to develop talent and contribute significantly to team success. Born in Demopolis, Alabama, Tucker earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Mississippi State in 2015, demonstrating his dedication to both academics and athletics in his career.
