In this exclusive Baylor Mini-Breakdown we detail several of the key concepts that make their offense extremely efficient while also having the potential to have an explosive play at any moment. The Baylor Offense features a diverse run game centered around the Widezone scheme which lead to the 5th ranked rushing attack in all of the FBS at 3,288. Not only did they put up a ton of yards they also created a ton of explosive runs of 10+ yards per carry with 105 accumulated rushes. But Baylor wasn’t just a dynamic rushing attack as they used their success on the ground to create an explosive play-action attack to force the defense to respect all elements of their offense.
