The Coach
In 2022, Charles Ross became a part of the Beaver Football team as their cornerbacks coach. He previously worked at Central Michigan University (CMU) as a defensive backs coach and graduate assistant for two seasons. During his time at CMU, Ross played a significant role in the team's strong defensive performance, which helped them rank third in the Mid-American Conference in both scoring defense and total defense in 2021. As a result, the team had a successful 9-4 season and won the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl.
Ross gained experience as an intern in strength and conditioning and as an assistant defensive backs coach at Three Rivers High School before joining CMU. He graduated from Central Michigan in 2021 with a degree in exercise science and a minor in athletic coaching, which shows that he has a good foundation in both the physical and strategic aspects of football coaching.
