In "Complete Crossing Routes: Low Crossers " Coach Herring looks at over a decade of time-tested pass concepts which utilize "low crossing" drag type concepts for use versus any coverage. Each concept includes individual route and QB read progression teaching as well as how to attack specific coverages. This two volume course serves as not only a reference for any coach looking for ideas to add crossing routes to his passing game but also as an in-depth teaching resource for cutting edge pass concepts used from high-school to the NFL. The two courses combine for over 5 hours of course content.
Volume 2 continues the teaching from Course One with over 2 hours of video and details a full Mesh package including: Mesh ("America's Mesh" play with both field and boundary versions), Mingle(a 4 strong Mesh), and Mix (a 3x1 Mesh with multiple tags). Also included are other concepts including: Drain (a mini Dagger concept with a Drag), Hook (a version of the traditional Air Raid Shallow pattern), multiple vertical-drag combinations, and two different Curl Flat patterns which utilize a drag route component.

The Coach
Coach Herring was recently named Quarterback Coach for the Lassiter Trojans in Marietta, Ga. He returns to Lassiter after a 4 year stint as OC and QB Coach at Jones County High School in Gray, Ga. The Greyhounds won 3 consecutive region championships, reached the state semi-finals twice and the state quarterfinals once. In both 2021 and 2019 the Greyhounds had the state’s leading passer in GA AAAAA and in 2020 had the leading rusher. In his first three seasons at Jones County the Greyhounds gained over 5000 yards of offense each season. Prior to arriving at Jones County Coach Herring served as Offensive Coordinator and QB coach at Lassiter for 9 seasons. He began his coaching career at Colbert Heights High School in Tuscumbia, AL, and over the course of four seasons served in various positions including Offensive Coordinator, Quarterbacks Coach, Wide Receivers Coach, and Running Backs Coach. He spent the next two seasons as Wide Receivers Coach and Passing Game Coordinator at Pelham High School in Pelham, AL. He was named 2011 Cobb County Touchdown Club Offensive Assistant of the Year. Coach Herring is a frequent clinic speaker and the author of three iBooks about offensive strategy as well as multiple CoachTube courses.
