Dalton Hilliard is in his second season on Head Coach Jim Mora’s staff at the University of Connecticut in 2023 and continues as the Huskies' defensive backs coach. Hilliard brings a wealth of coaching experience, including roles at Arkansas State and Tennessee-Martin, where he achieved notable success in developing strong defensive units. His coaching journey began at UCLA under Coach Mora's guidance, where he served as a defensive graduate assistant before transitioning to roles with other programs and eventually returning to work alongside Mora at UConn. Hilliard's coaching philosophy emphasizes both on-field performance and off-field character development, reflecting his dedication to making a positive impact on young athletes' lives. Born in Chicago and raised in a military family, Hilliard's diverse experiences contribute to his well-rounded approach to coaching and mentorship in collegiate football.
