Danny Verpaele is currently a coach at Safeties Army West Point and 2023 CIC Champions. During the 2021 fall season, Kennesaw State's defense ranked first in scoring defense in the Big South Conference and 18th in the FCS, with a top-ranked red zone defense as well. Verpaele played a crucial role in the success of linebacker Evan Thompson, who achieved record-breaking performances and earned prestigious honors.

Verpaele's coaching prowess was evident in the overall performance of the defense, which ranked among the top nationally in various categories during his tenure. He was instrumental in developing standout players like safety Cincere Mason and linebacker Bryson Armstrong, both of whom made significant impacts on the field under Verpaele's guidance.

Verpaele's coaching career includes successful stints at Valdosta State, where he contributed to a national championship win, and notable achievements in turnovers, red zone defense, and player development. He has also coached at prestigious institutions like the United States Military Academy and Mississippi State.
