Dominique Bowman joined the Temple Football staff in January 2023 as the cornerback's coach and expanded his role to include safeties, becoming the defensive backs coach in 2024. Before his tenure at Temple, Bowman coached the Razorbacks’ cornerbacks at Arkansas in 2022, working with defensive coordinator Barry Odom. In 2021, he was with Marshall, where his coaching significantly improved their pass defense, ranking 28th overall in the FBS and second in Conference USA. Under his guidance, Marshall defensive backs Steven Gilmore and Micah Abraham earned second-team All-Conference USA honors.

Bowman brings extensive defensive expertise to Temple, having served as a defensive coordinator at Austin Peay and UT Martin. At Austin Peay, he led the team to the 2019 Ohio Valley Conference title and a deep FCS Playoff run. His defense was among the top in several national categories, and his achievements earned him a spot in the prestigious AFCA's 2020 35 Under 35 Coaches Leadership Institute. Bowman began his collegiate coaching career at Arkansas-Monticello in 2016 and has a strong foundation in high school coaching in Memphis. A former all-conference defensive back at Lambuth University under Hugh Freeze, Bowman graduated in 2008 with a bachelor's degree.
