Coach Lanier has 40 years experience as a football coach.  He spent 11 years as a high school assistant at Texas City (TX) High School, Clear Lake (TX) High School, and Lake Charles (LA) High School.  As a high school head coach, Coach Lanier accumulated a record of 153-116 and 15 playoff appearances at Clear Brook (TX) High School, Galveston Ball (TX) High School, Lake Charles (LA) High School, Sulphur (LA) High School, Airline (LA) High School, and Sam Houston (LA) High School.  Coach Lanier also spent 4 years as an assistant coach for McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA.
