The Coach
Glenn Caruso, appointed as the head coach of University of St. Thomas football in January 2008, has led the team through a remarkable transformation, including two NCAA Division III championship game appearances and a strong start in Division I FCS. Recognized as one of the NCAA’s most accomplished coaches under 50, Caruso has the distinction of winning conference championships at both D-III and FCS levels. Entering his 17th year in 2024, he has won six National Coach of the Year awards, surpassing 150 victories with the Tommies. In 2022, he led the team to an undefeated conference season and first place in the Pioneer Football League, earning Pioneer Football League Coach of the Year honors. In 2023, St. Thomas finished second in the PFL, with seven players earning All-Conference honors, and Alex Rasmussen was named PFL Offensive Lineman of the Year. Caruso's leadership has been pivotal in the team's success and development.
