Kyshoen Jarrett transitioned to coaching, taking on roles with the Redskins and the Virginia Tech Hokies, and he now serves as the defensive backs coach at Howard. In 2021 he returned to Virginia Tech as assistant director of player personnel. A Tannersville, Pennsylvania native and former Hokies team captain, Jarrett was a sixth-round pick by Washington in the 2015 NFL Draft. He led Virginia Tech with 88 tackles and three interceptions as a senior in 2014, finishing his collegiate career with 249 tackles, five interceptions, and 26 punt returns for 324 yards, including a 94-yard touchdown. After playing 16 games for Washington in 2015, an injury ended his playing career. Jarrett then coached defensive backs at Rock Ridge High School, served as a defensive intern, and later as a defensive quality control coach/assistant defensive backs coach for Washington. He holds a degree in human development and family studies from Virginia Tech, with minors in sociology and communications.
