Matt MacPherson: Block Destruction, Transitions out of Breaks & Press Tech.
by IHSFCA Illinois High School Football Coaches AssociationDescription
Defensive Backs have no easy task. It's arguably one of the hardest positions to play. Knowing how to destruct the block allows a DB to potentially make a play. Being efficient in transitions can be a difference-maker, does the catch become a PBU? Does the PBU become an interception or pick-six?
In this course, Coach Matt Macpherson discusses the importance of block destruction, transitions out of the break, and pressure techniques. Coach Macpherson demonstrates tape from the practice and game time to break down how to effectively do each one.
