Mike Krysl brings his coaching expertise to Samford University as the new special teams coordinator, also overseeing offensive tackles and tight ends. Prior to joining Samford, Krysl spent two seasons at Georgia Southern University as the director of player development and assisted with special teams under head coach Willie Fritz. During his tenure, Georgia Southern achieved significant success, including their first bowl game victory and impressive rankings in various special teams categories.

Before Georgia Southern, Krysl served as the offensive line/tight ends coach at West Virginia State University, where he also managed strength and conditioning. His leadership contributed to player achievements such as All-Mountain East honors. Krysl's coaching journey includes roles as an offensive coordinator at Lexington High School and as an offensive graduate assistant at the University of Central Missouri, where he played a pivotal role in the team's offensive prowess and playoff successes.

Krysl holds degrees in secondary education and sports & business administration from the University of Central Missouri and hails from Hillsboro, Missouri.
