The Coach
Nolan Foley recently joined the Cortland football staff as the special teams and safeties coach in April 2023. Before returning to Cortland, Foley gained coaching experience at St. Ambrose University in Iowa, where he worked with various positions such as running backs, tight ends, and defensive backs, and served as the special teams coordinator. During his time as a student at Cortland, Foley was an offensive lineman for three seasons and transitioned to an assistant offensive line coach in his senior year due to injury. He actively contributed to the team's unity council and served as the SAAC representative, showcasing his leadership skills and commitment to the team's success.
Having graduated from Cortland with a degree in political science in 2021, Foley is currently pursuing a master's degree in organizational leadership from St. Ambrose. His coaching journey reflects a deep connection to Cortland and a dedication to developing players across different positions, highlighting his versatile coaching abilities and leadership qualities.
