Patrick Murphy, entering his third season with Rhode Island in 2022, has made a significant impact as the offensive coordinator since joining in January 2020. In 2021, his offensive unit produced four CAA Football All-Conference selections, including first-team honorees fullback Joey Kenny and tight end Caleb Warren. Guard Nick Correia was named to the second team, while guard Evan Lovell earned a third-team spot. Quarterback Kasim Hill stood out, being named CAA Football Offensive Player of the Week twice and ranking 30th nationally with 13.1 points per game. Hill accounted for 24 touchdowns, passing for 2,178 yards and rushing for 305 yards. In Murphy's first season, the offense averaged 26.0 points per game, with notable performances from Offensive Rookie of the Year Kevin Brown Jr. and wide receiver Ivory Frimpong.
