Pete Rossomando - Offensive Line Coach - Charolette
Charlotte 49ers head football coach Will Healy named former NCAA Division II National Coach of the Year Pete Rossomando as Offensive Line Coach, Mar. 3, 2021. He comes to Charlotte from Vanderbilt, where he spent the 2020 season as offensive line coach. He was offensive line coach at Rutgers in 2019.
FCS COACH OF THE YEAR FINALIST AT CENTRAL CONNECTICUT STATE
Prior to Rutgers, he served as head coach for five years at Central Connecticut State from 2014-18. In 2017, after leading the Blue Devils to the school’s first NCAA Division I FCS playoff appearance, he was named the Northeast Conference Coach of the Year and was a finalist for the Eddie Robinson FCS Coach of the Year, which coincidentally was awarded to Healy. CCSU won the Northeast Conference crown with a perfect 6-0 record, the program’s first unbeaten league record since 2008.

Rossomando spent five seasons as head coach at New Haven, where he helped resurrect the Chargers’ program. He earned three Northeast-10 Coach of the Year honors, was named National Coach of the Year, and led the Chargers as high as third in the national rankings
