Victor Irokansi has been the defensive line coach at Old Dominion University for four seasons. During his tenure, Irokansi has demonstrated an exceptional ability to develop young and inexperienced defensive line groups into formidable units for the Monarch defense. The ODU defensive line has contributed significantly to the team's success under his guidance, ranking fourth in rush defense and fifth in overall scoring within the Sun Belt conference. Despite injuries requiring various starters to step up, the defensive line remained resilient and effective throughout the seasons. Key players like Denzel Lowry and Kris Trinidad showcased their skills and contributed to the team's defensive prowess. Lowry was awarded Sun Belt honorable mention honors for his impressive statistics in tackles, tackles for loss, and sacks. Irokansi's coaching in previous seasons has led to marked improvements in the team's defensive line performance. Players like Alonzo Ford, Denzel Lowry, and Devin Brandt-Epps showed significant growth and received recognition for their contributions to the team's success. Before joining Old Dominion, Irokansi worked as a prospect analyst at Oklahoma State and gained coaching experience as a graduate assistant coach at Ole Miss and Texas State. His background as a former player for Oklahoma State, where he achieved academic success and participated in bowl games, adds to his expertise and understanding of the game.
