The Coach
Vince DiGaetano- Fordham, Defensive QC
Vincent DiGaetano is in his fourth season as the volunteer special teams quality control assistant coach at Fordham University in 2023. Before returning to Fordham, DiGaetano was the head coach at New York Maritime in 2018, leading the Privateers to a 7-4 record and a New England Bowl berth. His coaching journey includes roles as a defensive assistant at Wagner College and a linebackers coach at Nassau Community College. He also spent ten years at SUNY-Maritime as defensive coordinator and special teams coordinator. DiGaetano also has high school coaching experience, having been the defensive coordinator at DeWitt Clinton High School, where he coached future NFL players Ramon Guzman and Dequan Mobley.
In addition to his coaching career, DiGaetano has been recognized for his contributions to football and education. He was a finalist for the AFCA Assistant Coach of the Year in Division III in 2014 as the Defensive Coordinator of the USA Select Team in the 2015 International Bowl. His dedication to public service earned him the 2017 Sloan Public Service Award. DiGaetano holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a Master's Degree in Education from Wagner College.
