Coach Albin has spent the last 16 years on Frank Solich’s coaching staff at Ohio University, serving as the program’s Associate Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator/Running Backs Coach. Prior to the 2005 season, the Bobcats had enjoyed only two winning seasons in the previous 22 years. Since then, Ohio has developed and earned a reputation of being one of the most consistently successful programs in the country. Albin has helped lead Ohio to 115 victories, four Mid-American Conference East Division titles, and the first five bowl wins in program history, including in the last three seasons.

Ohio’s offense has thrived under Albin’s watch, with the Bobcats setting a total of 17 team records and 70 individual records. With Albin’s leadership, Ohio’s offense has achieved nine of the top-10 seasons in program history in points scored and yards gained.
 
Ohio’s offense has taken it to another level the last three seasons: 2016-2018 stand as the top three seasons in program history in points scored, and as three of the top five seasons in program history in yards gained.
 
Albin has coached the most prolific runners, passers, an receivers in Ohio history in terms of both yards and touchdowns.
He was named 2018 FootballScoop Running Backs Coach of the Year presented by Astroturf. In 2018, the Ohio rushing attack ranked sixth in the nation with a conference-high 6.03 yards per rush (highest average in program history), eight in the nation with a conference-high 3,358 rushing yards (third-most in program history), and 10th in the nation with a conference-high 258.3 rushing yards per game (sixth-highest average in program history). The Bobcats tied for the sixth-most rushing touchdowns in the country with a conference-high 40 rushing touchdowns (tied for second-most in program history).
