The Coach
Coach Buentello has been a head soccer coach at the high school level for 12 years, and is currently the head boys coach at Sachse HS. In 2023 he led the Mustangs to the UIL State Soccer Tournament – a first for both the Sachse soccer program as well as Garland ISD. That same year he was recognized by the THSCA and TASCO as the Boys Soccer Region 2 Coach of the Year, and had the honor of coaching the Region 2 team at the TASCO Senior All-Star Game. He currently holds his USSF National D and National Youth Licenses, as well as his NSCAA National Diploma, Coerver Level 1 & 2 Diplomas, and LaLiga Formation Methodology Level 3 Diploma.
