Jason Keller - Head Softball Coach, Shiner High School
Jason Keller serves as the head softball coach and assistant football coach at Shiner High School, where he has been coaching and teaching for 24 years. The Shiner Lady Comanches became the 2024 UIL 2A State Softball Champions, finishing with a record-breaking 33-3 season, including a perfect 12-0 district record and 29-0 against 2A opponents.

Coach Keller’s softball head coaching record stands at 121-28. Over the past four years, Shiner’s teams have amassed remarkable stats, including 102 home runs, 286 doubles, and 1,548 runs. The program boasts seven UIL state championships, 13 state tournament appearances, and 30 playoff appearances in 31 seasons, holding 17 state tournament records. In 2024, Shiner set state records for hits in a game and tied records for home runs and doubles in a state tournament.

Coach Keller has been widely recognized for his achievements, including being named the 2024 THSCA Softball Coach of the Year, Texas Sports Writers Association 2A Coach of the Year, and Victoria Advocate Co-Coach of the Year, among other honors. As an assistant football coach, he contributed to state championship wins in 2020 and 2021.
