Jahdae Barron is a standout defensive back from Austin, Texas, who built his reputation through versatility, toughness, and elite playmaking ability. A former Connally High School star, Barron developed into one of the best defensive players in college football at the University of Texas, where he played multiple roles in the secondary and became a leader for the Longhorns defense.
In 2024, Barron won the Jim Thorpe Award, given to the nation’s top defensive back, while also earning All-American and First-Team All-SEC honors. Known for his instincts, football IQ, physicality, and ability to create turnovers, Barron helped Texas reach back-to-back College Football Playoff semifinals and was named Defensive MVP of the 2025 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.
Barron was selected by the Denver Broncos in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft with the 20th overall pick. As he begins his NFL career, he brings the same competitive edge, discipline, and playmaking mindset that made him one of the most respected defensive backs in college football.
