Brett Robbins — Building a Championship Doubles Tennis Program

Description

Build a stronger, more competitive tennis program with Coach Brett Robbins’ practical approach to daily training, doubles play, and team culture. As the head coach at Wimberley High School, Robbins shares the routines and drills that helped establish a structured, high-intensity practice environment for championship-level athletes.

What You’ll Learn:

• Daily Practice Structure: Create consistent routines with dynamic warm-ups, tennis-specific movement, volleys, strokes, and serving.

• Doubles Development: Build doubles-focused habits through partner movement, positioning, communication, and net play.

• Competitive Drills: Use one-ball drills, point play, winners-up/losers-down, and other competitive formats to maximize reps and intensity.

• Net Transition: Teach players when and how to attack the net, move together, and apply pressure in doubles.

• Game-Based Conditioning: Combine movement, conditioning, and tennis skills through high-energy drills instead of traditional conditioning alone.

• Team Culture & Accountability: Build intensity, effort, and consistency by holding players accountable and creating a culture where teammates push each other.

• Fun & Competition: Keep players engaged with competitive end-of-practice games that make training challenging and enjoyable.

Coach Robbins gives you a complete, repeatable practice framework filled with drills you can take directly to the court. If you want to develop tougher doubles players, increase practice intensity, and build a more connected tennis program, this course gives you the tools to get started.
