The Coach
Daniel White, a proud Cru tennis alum, returned to his alma mater as the Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach in July 2019, swiftly propelling both programs to ASC Championship Tournament berths in the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons.
Notably, under his leadership, both teams secured their inaugural ASC postseason wins in the 2022-23 year. Before his tenure at UMHB, White distinguished himself as the Head Boys and Girls Tennis Coach at Vandergrift High School, where he led the Vipers to a third-place State finish in 2017 and secured Regional Finalist titles in 2016 and 2018.
His exceptional coaching prowess earned him the 6-A Region Four Coach of the Year accolade in 2017, and his teams qualified for the State Tournament a remarkable ten times. With experience as a tennis professional at River Place Country Club and the Club at Sonterra, as well as serving as an assistant tennis professional and camp director at the Georgetown Tennis Center, White's expertise spans various facets of the sport.
A Mary Hardin-Baylor graduate with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science, White's legacy as a four-year letterman and three-time ASC All-West Division selection informs his coaching philosophy, fostering excellence and teamwork. Together with his wife, Cami, White is a proud parent to two daughters, Elliett and Camdyn.
Notable accolades during his tenure include 6 ASC Tournament appearances and the coaching of 15 All-ASC Athletes (2020-present).
