How High Jump Takeoff Mechanics Change With Distance From the Bar
by Troy HainesDescription
90% of all misses in the High Jump happen because the jumper ends up too close to the bar at takeoff.
How do we ensure our athletes aren't taking off too close? In this course you'll learn the useful terms in assessing the high jump, the role of the arms and the legs, and how to develop confidence in your athletes to takeoff further away from the bar.
Practical video examples are given for a variety of ability levels. Strategies to improve distance away from the bar at takeoff and additonal considerations are provided.
