The Coach
Casey Veen is a seasoned educator and coach with over 12 years of experience. She holds a B.A. in History from the University of St. Thomas and will complete her masters’ program in August of 2024 from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a M.A. in Sports Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Some of her accolades as a volleyball player at UST include N.A.I.A All-American honors, 2x Conference MVP, 2x Conference Tournament MVP, 2x All-Region, and 2x All-Conference recognitions. After college, Casey began her career at Livingston HS as the head volleyball coach. From there Casey's teaching/coach career spans from various high schools, including Houston Lamar High School, Goose Creek Memorial HS, and now Barbers Hill High School where she currently teaches World History. Coach Veen has tallied 338 wins, and some notable accolades include AVCA 30 under 30 and SETCA Coach of the Year. Outside of her professional life, Casey finds joy in her family. She is married to Ben Veen, and they have three children: Grayson (7), Everett (6), and Audrey (6). When she is not coaching, her and her husband enjoy watching their children play sports and travel together.
