Coach Gonzales is in her 22nd year of teaching and coaching. She has been the Head Volleyball

Coach/Assistant Coordinator at Harlan High School since the school opened seven season ago. The Hawks

have been in the playoffs all six varsity seasons, including four years in a row to the regional tournament and a

trip to the state tournament last season, finishing third with a record of 44-6. Her overall record is 304-95.

This season, Coach Gonzales was named Texas High School Coaching Association coach of the year for

region 8 class 6A and Texas Volleyball Insiders Inaugural Coach of the Year.

Originally from San Antonio, Coach Gonzales attending Thomas Jefferson High School and University of the

Incarnate Word. Prior to coaching at Harlan, Coach Gonzales began her career at Fox Tech High School, then

spent nine years as the assistant at Reagan High School, followed by three years at Brennan High School as

the head coach. Along with coaching high school, Coach Gonzales has coached club volleyball in San Antonio

for Alamo Volleyball Association for over 20 years.

When Coach Gonzales isn't on the volleyball court, she enjoys spending time with her family and loves to

travel.
