- Net Play Volley with Overhead
  
      Start your player on the baseline to make sequences as realistic as possible.
  
      As a coach or parent, feed an easy approach to either side (forehand, backhand).
  
      Let the player get in towards the net by taking the ball down the line and quickly anticipating for a first mid-court volley.
  
      This should convert into an aggressive put-away volley on the fourth strike.
  
      Add an overhead for a challenging finish of the sequence.
  
  
  
  Coaching Point
  
  After striking an approach, make sure your player neutralizes mid-court volley deep in the court and becomes more aggressive as he or she progresses towards the net. The player must maintain correct technique on the volleys by having no swing; keeping the wrist firm at the contact, and creating power by moving across and forward.
